iRacing releases RUF's selection of track ready cars

We've been hearing of this for quite a while but it  finally happened.

iRacing has released a whole range of RUFs track ready racing machines including the RUF-RT12 RWD, RUF-RT12 Spec-C and the RUF RT-12 Track.

Founded by Alois Ruf in 1938, RUF is a German car manufacturer. The company is best known for building cars that are based on Porsche models, since RUF is building their own branded cars and is registered as manufacturer instead of being a mere tuner, game companies can license their cars separately from Porsche.

The situation was that everyone was worried only the RWD version would be released, splitting iRacing fans into two major groups: The hardcore racers which were cheering for the RWD, and the occasional iRacers who didn't want something too hardcore. Seems like F.A.S.T. staff has hit the bullseye once more with the release of the complete lineup which gave everyone something to enjoy.

Immediately after the release i've opened up my paypal account and bought the whole lineup. To see the cars in action, click the video below this paragraph, or scroll down to learn more about each car individually.

RUF RT-12 RWD is the most powerful of the bunch, carrying a 3.8 liter, twin -turbo flat six engine producing pure mechanical 730 HP at nearly 700 lb/ft of torque. Using a H-Panel 6 speed manual transmission, no electronics get in the way of you and the top speed which peaks at 230 miles per hour. It is a untamed beast waiting for you to tame it.

RUF RT-12 Track is carrying a normally aspirated 4.0 liter flat six engine just waiting to release its 500 horsepower through a more advanced six speed sequential gearbox. It uses a dual ABS braking system making it a safer track day car for people with taste.

RUF RT-12 Spec car is a full on race car, tamed to perform in the spec-class racing series favorized around the globe in the past years. The normally aspirated flat six produces 450 brake horsepower making it a very nimble and fast racing car, and when you wish to stop the independent brake systems stop you in no time.

The conclusion would be that iRacing will stop at nothing to give it's players only the finest of the racing world, telling us subliminally once more that in the world of simracing - they still set the rules.
